Swan Villas is a brand-new construction along the lagoon side of the Placencia Peninsula. The small town of Maya Beach is a mile north and Placencia Village is about seven miles south, though you only have to walk the 75 short yards to the beach to truly relax here! You will immediately notice the unique appearance of the homes, which were designed inside and out by a famous architect. The concept behind this is the idea of organic architecture, which creates a harmonious atmosphere that combines the human world with the beauty of nature. When you stay here you may feel a little more relaxed and at peace with nature simply through the thoughtful design of these lovely villas.

This particular listing includes three separate villa that make up one large villa. One villa is the entire downstairs two-bedroom apartment, and the remaining villas are two studios upstair. Each villa has its own separate entrance and living spaces, so this is an ideal configuration for a group of couples or a family with older children. The entire building is U-shaped and features views of the sparkling lagoon and the swimming pool and courtyard area. Just imagine the gorgeous sunsets you can watch from these west-facing windows!

The ground floor of this building contains the first villa, the Lion Fish Retreat, which is the largest of the three rentals. In the middle portion of the villa, you will have a comfortable living area that is perfect for socializing with a group. Here you will also find a full kitchen, complete with a modern style and gleaming stainless-steel appliances.

You will even find a laundry room tucked away in a corner, so you won't have to worry too much about whether you packed enough clean shirts for your stay. There is also a TV in the living room, though you may be too busy enjoying the sunshine and fresh air to watch much television! A patio area is a perfect place to sit with a cold beverage and relax while gazing at the scenery.

The upper floor of this building features two separate studio-style villas that are nearly identical in layout: the Shark Studio Retreat and the Turtle Studio Retreat. These rentals each contain a kitchenette, a TV, a wonderful round king bed, and a private balcony.

Each bedroom offers both a walk-in shower and a jetted tub. During your stay, you will also enjoy air-conditioning, plus WiFi access so you can easily post your vacation pictures online and stay in touch with your family and friends.

You will also have access to a variety of amenities to make your stay even more special. Make sure to bring your swimsuit, because you will want to take a dip in the gorgeous infinity-edge pool. You could also take a short walk down to the beach, where you can stroll along the perfectly soft sand, splash around the shallow water, and sunbathe from the shore. Or borrow kayaks and bicycles to explore the nearby sea and land.

Although there is plenty to keep you busy around the property, you may want to explore more of the beautiful Placencia Peninsula. If you go just a mile north you will find yourself in the very small community of Maya Beach, where you can stock up on groceries at the market or get a bite to eat at one of the restaurants. For even more options, take a 15-minute drive or taxi ride south into Placencia Village, a laid-back and friendly town. There you can peruse the souvenir shops, get a lovely meal at one of the many restaurants, and take a walk along the beach.

Anyone who loves to snorkel or scuba dive will be right at home here; this area is well known for its underwater sights. You could check out the colorful sea life, dive to see the second largest barrier reef in the world, or take a group outing to view the friendly manatees that live in the lagoon. Of course, you could also try ocean fishing, sailing, or boating out to a nearby island. Even more, options await if you decide to visit the interior of diverse Belize. Go ahead and book a guided excursion to hike through the jungle, visit some Mayan ruins, check out a wildlife preserve, go cave tubing, or even try a fast-paced zipline ride over the treetops.
